TYPICAL APPLICATION USING THE NCD1110
THE LED DRIVING RFID
The NCD1110 is a CMOS IC intended for use in a FDX LF transponder. An external coil through inductive coupling powers this device. NCD1110 delivers unmatched read reliability for effective RFID business system. A synchronous collision avoidance logic is implemented on the chip. It is based on a deterministic algorithm allowing to detect beyond 10’000 tags in random configurations with 100% of accuracy.
When the tag is powered it sends out in specific time intervals its 102 bits unique identifier (UID) until it is addressed by the reader to shut down
For fast UID transaction, 30 bits are used associated with 6 bits CRC for transaction verification. The UID is based on field programmable, nonvolatile EEPROM. UID can be irreversibly locked, if re-programming needs to be avoided.
The RFID has a LED driver output which allows switching on a LED when the tag UID matches the interrogator UID request.
